fforest gran ffondo

A few weekends ago we headed over to west Wales for the inaugural fforest gran ffondo, a long weekend of great cycling, amazing food and workshops set on the fforest farm in the hills above Cardigan.

The event was in part to launch a new initiative by fforest, called Spirit Cymru, to convert churches that are no longer in use into a network of habitable accommodation that can be connected via cycling between them.

To celebrate the launch of the project, on Saturday three routes of different distances were created for attendees to ride and experience the roads, the landscapes and the churches that will form the first phase for this ambitious project.

As part of the weekend we took our micro studio to Wales to offer repairs, facilitate workshops and customisation, and to engage guests in some of the techniques that go into making our gear.

We also supplied some music for the weekend, a playlist of which can be found below.
