Albion x RAEBURN

19-10-23

We’re excited to be heading back to the Raeburn Lab in London this November.

From Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th November we’ll be hosting a program of talks and workshops in collaboration with RAEBURN at their studio in Hackney, East London, reflecting both brands’ shared values and continued commitment to conscious consumption and sustainable practices.

Our new A/W19 Weatherproof range will also be available to try on and purchase throughout the weekend, and we’ll be on hand in the Lab to answer any questions about our new products.

On both Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th November a drop-in repair service will be available to customers, free of charge, who would like to repair or rejuvenate an existing item of cycling clothing (it doesn’t matter what brand!).

Be it a garment that has been damaged, or simply an old jersey that you’d like to give a new lease of life, there will be a range of repair techniques and unique patches available to fix or embellish your existing cycling gear.

As part of the repair offering, we’re looking forward to welcoming Sugru into the Lab.

Sugru is the world’s first mouldable glue that sets strong by turning into a durable, flexible silicone rubber.

Sugru has a large range of applications for repairing or enhancing any number of everyday items, and members of the team will be on hand with help and inspiration for fixes and enhancements throughout the weekend.

On Saturday 16th November, we’ll be running the second Remade parachute musette workshop in collaboration with RAEBURN.

Attendees will get to make their own Albion x RAEBURN musette using deconstructed military parachute fabric in the RAEBURN Lab under the guidance of Graeme Raeburn, Performance Director at RAEBURN.

Guests will get to select their fabric, cut their pattern and choose the position of their labels to create a unique, one-off accessory.

Complimentary coffee from the Old Spike Roastery will be served to all guests. Old Spike is a speciality roastery and coffee shop in Peckham who are using their business to help homeless people gain employment.

Albion’s A/W19 range, and the full RAEBURN collection including their latest collaboration with Timberland, will also be on display in the Lab and available to purchase.

Three sessions are available – 13:00, 15:00, and 17:00.

Secure your place via Eventbrite.

On the evening of Thursday 14th November, founder of the Cent Cols Challenge Phil Deeker is coming to give a talk about his ten years leading these incredible rides across the great mountain ranges of Europe.

Riding a Cent Cols is often spoken of as the ultimate challenge for amateur cyclists. Over 10 days riders climb 100 cols, with 200KM stages and 6000 vertical metres of ascent in one day commonplace.

Phil is coming to London to share some stories and photographs from the trips, as well as to discuss the clothing and kit required to stay comfortable and protected in the fast-changing and often extreme weather conditions encountered when riding in the mountains.

Graeme Raeburn, Performance Director at RAEBURN and previously Lead Designer at Rapha, will also share some of his insights into the process of designing high-performance clothing for the demanding conditions created by rides like the Cent Cols Challenge.

If you’d like to join us for what promises to be an entertaining and inspiring evening, you can sign up via Eventbrite below.
