24-09-18The seasons change, and just like that it can feel like summer is over.
Autumn is a transitional time, as both nature and people get to grips with the change required to carry them through the colder half of the year.
For cyclists it is often a chance to recalibrate, with summer riding goals behind us and thoughts slowly turning to what might be next.
A chance to slow down, perhaps.
There is much to be gained from an autumn and winter of riding outside. Feeling the elements closely, and embracing them, can be restorative in itself.
Winter miles lay the groundwork for 'summer smiles', as the saying goes.
