Two Journeys

05 09 24

This weekend is Kromvojoj, an early season road ultra distance race in the Catalonian Pyrenees.

Two riders have made very different journeys to the start line of the race.

Seun Alaba has type 1 diabetes. That alone should make riding these types of events impossible, but Seun has never let it be a barrier.

Molly Weaver was a professional road cyclist in the women's World Tour until a training ride crash left her with life threatening injuries and forced her into an early retirement.

She recovered, but found herself drawn to a different style of riding on returning to the bike.

Both have become popular and recognisable faces in the long distance racing community, inspiring others, giving back, and racing hard.

For both Molly and Seun, Kromvojoj represents the next step in their ultra distance journeys.

Big journeys, that feel like they are only just getting started.
